As a result of a your donation, the exact goods that a nonprofit needs get shipped directly to the nonprofit’s address, allowing you to know EXACTLY how your money is making a difference. GivingSomeThing is FEE FREE for both you and nonprofits! This means, we don't charge you ANY transaction fees or markups while allowing nonprofit to join for free. Pretty cool, huh?
Our Story
The idea for GivingSomeThing came from co-founder Dave Campbell's experience on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit Lacrosse the Nations. Their organization had a list of program needs and wanted to provide the opportunity for supporters to donate goods to their cause as a donation channel that would improve the connection that donors felt to their organization. Dave and Mike began researching available donation channels and discovered that there was no easy place for nonprofits to express their needs and allow supporters to donate those products. The team began building GivingSomeThing over the summer of 2011 encouraged by the potential of helping nonprofits receive the goods they need, and improving the connection between donors and nonprofits.
