Deductions
Every partner nonprofit represented on GivingSomeThing is either a 501(c)3 organization or a public school. Representatives from each organization compile and maintain their respective Wishlist with goods deemed essential to their mission. 100% of your money goes to the purchasing and shipping of the goods with no markup or transaction fees added by GivingSomeThing. As a result, your total donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
GivingSomeThing recommends that you print and keep your receipt showing the goods that you donated and their dollar amounts, the shipping location, total shipping costs, nonprofit name and EIN number as well as any communications from the nonprofit(s) acknowledging your gift. Consult with your tax-specialist for specific questions regarding your personal tax circumstances and tax-deductions. In some situations, you may need to receive an acknowledgement letter from the nonprofit including confirmation of good sent, as well as a statement that no goods or services were provided in return for the donation. If the donor receives goods or services, this confirmation should include a good faith estimate of the value of those goods or services.
To Give is to Receive.
